Application Instructions

Correct installation & care of your graphics is vital to ensure you get the best results from our product.

PLEASE READ THIS PAGE BEFORE YOU BEGIN INSTALLING YOUR KIT

LET'S GET YOU STARTED

First off, grab your bike, your favourite drink, alcohol (or window cleaner) to clean surfaces, a heat gun or hairdryer, a sharp blade (just in case) and some clean rags.
Having a helping hand can come in handy btw.

Don't forget your drink though! You want to have fun doing this!

STEP 1: PEEL OFF OLD STICKERS

Start by removing existing stickers from the bike so you have a clean bike to work with.

If the stickers are not coming off easily, use a bit of heat to warm them up. That will loosen the glue from the plastic.

STEP 2: CLEAN ALL SURFACES

clean plastics

All surfaces need to be wiped down & cleaned using an appropriate solvent before new graphics are applied. You want to make sure the surface has no wax, glue or particles as it will make the installation process harder or create textures on the stickers.

We recommend something like Alcohol, Methylated Spirits, Brake Cleaner, or a Wax & Grease Remover.

Wipe the plastics down with solvent well and allow them to air dry before you begin installation.

STEP 3: HAVE THE KIT READY

Sticker kit layout

Your kit might come die cut and you can lay each piece against the bike before peeling off the backing to make sure it lines up correctly.

If you find any of the pieces do not seem to line up / fit correctly, make sure you try shifting the piece around. Some times the template is perfectly fitting.

If you suspect we may have made a mistake and sent you an incorrect shape, please contact us. We will ensure to get your order corrected and offer any assistance required.

STEP 4: PEEL OFF THE SECTION YOU WANT TO INSTALL

STEP 5: LINE THE STICKER UP WITH THE PLASTIC

We do not recommend using water or soap on the graphics to ease application, as this is not good for the adhesive and will likely decrease the durability and life of your new kit.

STEP 6: APPLY GENTLE PRESSURE TO CHECK ALIGNMENT

Apply gentle pressure

You can then tear off a small section of the backing paper first, and stick it down, whilst ensuring the full sticker is still aligned on the plastic as desired. Press it down on the exposed section, and then proceed to remove more of the backing paper, and repeat the process across the graphic.

STEP 7: RE-ADJUST IF NECESSARY

If the piece doesn't line up properly, you can peel off and re-adjust the sticker multiple times.

You should only re-adjust before applying any heat to the sticker as heat will activate the glue and also make it easy to stretch the graphic too much.

STEP 8: APPLY PRESSURE

Applying final pressure

Once you're happy with the positioning, apply pressure using a clean rag.

Make sure you work your way around the sticker slowly and ideally, from the middle out. That will help shape the sticker to the plastic.

If there are ridges, do not push them hard. Use the next step

STEP 9: USE A HEAT GUN TO HELP YOU SHAPE THE STICKER

Use heat gun on stickers

Heat is your best friend when applying our graphics - It is vital to have a hair dryer or heat gun on hand when installing your graphics. The material we use becomes extremely soft and pliable when warmed up, which can make installing around sharp edges or curves, and stretching the graphic into place a lot easier.

Be gentle with the heat as you do not want to overheat the graphic. Doing so will make it become too soft, harder to work with and potentially burn it. Work small sections at a time.

STEP 10: USE HEAT AFTER IT'S BEEN APPLIED

Apply heat to help the glue activate

Once your whole kit has been applied and installed as desired go over the whole kit with the heat gun, warming it up with and pressing down on any lifting edges.

This will ‘activate’ the glue, and help it adhere strongly to its new surface. You may need to repeat this once or twice following installation, as you may find some corners/edges re-lift as they cool down.

TRICK 1: USE A HELPING HAND

Use a friend to help you in the process

Working alone can be difficult when dealing with complex shapes so we recommend having a friend help you. They might also be able to help you align things better

TRICK 2: TAKE ALL THE TIME YOU NEED WITH COMPLEX AREAS

Take your time

The bigger the area, the slower you need to take it. Rushing the installation usually ends up with sad faces.

TRICK 3: TRY NOT TO RIDE FOR A FEW DAYS AFTER

If possible, try not to ride or wash your bike for 3-4 days following installation. This will give the glue the best opportunity to adhere to its new surface, and any lifting edges should be strongly push down after repeated heating.
